Sky Terrace
Welcome to Kyōyū. Come with us on a fascinating journey of fresh flavours and enjoy the twist of modern Japanese and Latin American cuisine. Our pop-up is called Kyōyū - which means "to share" in Japanese - and this is exactly what our concept is based on. Start your experience with a refreshing signature drink, selected sake or Japanese beer and experience a trip to a faraway place.

A circle is complete: Yamato and Kyōyū at the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa
Kyōyū follows more than three and a half decades after the Yamato restaurant, the very first Japanese hotel restaurant in Switzerland, which opened in the Schweizerhof in 1987. Yamato was founded after owner Jean-Jacques Gauer returned from a trip and was established with the help of Benjamin Güller, the hotel manager at the time, bringing the delights of Japanese cuisine to the Swiss capital.
